In 1972, Ted Waldo took two of his sons, Brach and John, on a bicycle tour with road and rail up the Rhine River from Basel, Switzerland to Cologne, Germany. In 2009, 37 years later, John Waldo traveled with his father Ted and two sons Stephen and Daniel, on a similar route with road and rail up the Rhine and Mosel Rivers in Germany.
